The Bell caps are intended to be used with Kumihimo braids.
They are hand turned out of brass.

Information below will help you decide which size Bell caps you need.

Bell caps can be produced in Sterling Silver as a special order.

Finding

Sizes are: 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 7mm (Finished Braid diameter)

Note- Prices are the same fitted to pair of Earrings. (State type:fish-hooks or studs)

The following gives an indication for the amounts of thread per bobbin needed to make a certain diameter braid.
Ropes refer to Carey Company Silks and Birons available at Threads
This is a rough guide as the diameter of a whipped end will vary from Braider to Braider.
If in any doubt it is recommended to use the larger of the two sizes.

(i.e. 5 or 7 mm.)

For a 8-bobbin braid with one rope thickness on each bobbin, use a 4 or 5mm bell cap.

  For a 16-bobbin braid with a half rope thickness on each bobbin, use a 4 or 5mm bell cap.

  For a 8-bobbin braid with two rope thickness on each bobbin, use a 6 or 7mm bell cap.

  For a 16-bobbin braid with one rope thickness on each bobbin, use a 6 or 7mm bell cap.
