Putting my theories into practice, this sweet bag is based on surviving artefacts and made using authentic historical stitches.

Collection of Moments

Made on the O-marudai, these ‘vessels for the important things in life’ are worked as meditations. Focusing on themes such as gratitude, compassion and patience, each piece is a unique manifestation of a moment in time. Commissions taken.

Re-Creations

Learning by doing – recreating historic pieces in order to understand the process. Two sweet bags in the V&A (T.87-1935 and T.204-1928), and a book cover in the British Library (C.66.e.10).
